Erin Cochran, MEd

Content Strategist and EdD-SPP, CMHC Specialization Student

Erin Cochran, MEd (she/her/hers) began working at University of Western States in 2017 with a background in working in collegiate athletics at the University of Minnesota and University of Oregon. She earned her BA in Mass Communications: Public Relations from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota in 2013 before earning her MEd in Applied Kinesiology emphasis in Sport Management in 2015 from the University of Minnesota. As content strategist for UWS, Cochran is responsible for multimedia strategy, internal and external communications content, photography, copy editing and media relations efforts. She also serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Employee Engagement and Culture Council (EECC) committees.

Cochran is working towards her EdD within the UWS sport and performance psychology program with a specialization in clinical mental health counseling (EdD-SPP, MS-CMHC), and serves as the ASB College Officer for the UWS College of Graduate Studies. Cochran is currently completing her CMHC internship with NeuStart Psychiatry in Portland, Oregon, and will focus her EdD dissertation on athletic identity.
