Scholarships

UWS scholarships are awarded primarily on the strength of application but may include consideration of academic merit and/or other qualifying factors. All scholarships are applied to tuition and may be open to students in all programs and to both U.S. citizens and residents of other countries. We encourage applicants to review the criteria carefully to determine their eligibility. UWS scholarships are made possible through donations and institutional funds. Award amounts are determined by scholarship criteria, available funds and other considerations.

Pursuant to university Policies 1013 and 2001, University of Western States admits students of any race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, sex or age to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the university. Find out more about this policy and how you can handle inquiries.

The office of financial aid will notify applicants in writing via email who have been selected to receive scholarships. If the scholarship is more than $1,000, the total scholarship will be disbursed to student accounts evenly during that year unless otherwise noted as part of the scholarship award. Awards less than $1,000 will be disbursed in total during the term in which the scholarship is available.

Scholarship applications will open August 5, 2024 for Fall term.
