“The overall approach for the painting [in the space] is one of bringing color into the building,” said the artist, Eric Lanciault. “I felt the space should have a rich blend of autumnal colors to contrast with the building’s color scheme throughout. Incorporating figures into the work was important to me. These figures are a bit like guardians of the room and participants in the meditations within the space. I have been UWS’ consulting architect since 2000. I cherish my relationship with the university and am grateful to have the opportunity to give back.”
Wellness Activity Fee Reimbursement
University of Western States encourages students to support healthy behaviors. Each quarter students can be reimbursed $20 for participating in a physical wellness activity. It can be an exercise class, wellness event, run, gym membership or team event. Just fill out the physical activity fee reimbursement form once a quarter, attach the receipt from that quarter and turn in the form to student services.
