The City of Portland requires University of Western States to monitor and enforce parking rules and regulations, including the charging of a separate parking permit fee.
The UWS parking declaration period opens on Monday of Week 10 for the following quarter and must be completed by every student enrolled in the DC or NMD program, including those on remote placements. All declarations made before the Monday of week 10 apply to the current quarter.
Parking cost per term: $35
Note that your student account will be charged the $35 fee for a parking pass each term you are enrolled in an on-campus academic program, unless you opt–out each term because you use an alternate form of transportation.
Please read the University of Western States parking information and complete the student commute form. We must receive a commute form from every student regardless of your mode of transportation or location.

DECLARATION
By submitting your digital signature, you are stating that you have read the parking information, and you understand and affirm the following:
- I have read, understood, and will comply with UWS parking rules and regulations listed on the parking information page.
- The information provided in this application is correct.
- The parking permit issued to me is the property of UWS, non-transferable and for my use only.
- I must visibly display a UWS parking permit or daily temporary parking pass by hanging it behind my rearview mirror or, if this is not feasible, on the lower left–hand corner of the windshield near the steering wheel; failure to do so carries a $25 fine per occurrence.
- If I opt-in to a parking permit, I agree to pay parking charges on my student account. If I change to an alternative form of transportation during the term, I will change my declaration by completing the Student Commute Declaration Form or contact the campus operations and safety coordinator. If I do not fill out a commute declaration form by the end of the first week of school, the quarterly parking fee will be automatically charged to my account.
- I acknowledge that it is a requirement of the City of Portland to pay for a parking permit to park on the UWS parking lot.
