Massage Therapy

The COMTA accredited massage therapy (MT) program at University of Western States (UWS) is a one-year, evidence-informed program that blends a strong foundation of human anatomy and physiology with massage techniques focused on helping patients achieve optimal wellness and function. Students receive specialized training for work on patients with injuries, illness and chronic conditions. UWS students gain the technical skills, business savvy and knowledge necessary for a successful career in integrated health care. They also cultivate a compassionate approach to massage therapy as a healing art.

Hands-on experience is a staple of the massage therapy program. Students practice their skills in a variety of integrated clinical settings and during outreach events, working with diverse patients and conditions. To better understand the human body, our students study anatomy with human cadavers in our award- winning anatomical sciences lab. Our small class sizes allow for individualized instruction from faculty members who bring a wealth of practical experience to the classroom.
