Bola Majekobaje (she, her, hers) is the AVP of Culture and Community at University of Western States (UWS). Majekobaje leads university efforts to create and promote an accessible, equitable and inclusive culture at the institution. Majekobaje has more than ten years of experience leading diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at universities in the Pacific Northwest, including her work at Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV) where she successfully helped to increase student diversity, built a foundation for DEI, and increased WSUV’s recognition in communities of color.
Prior to beginning her role at UWS, Majekobaje served as executive director for a conservation NGO in the Republic of Palau.
Outside of work, Majekobaje enjoys spending time with her family, singing and creative writing. She is passionate about racial justice, being an ally and building climate resilience in indigenous and island communities.
She looks forward to working with members of the UWS community to ensure that all students, staff and faculty can equitably realize their full potential at UWS.
