Elena Howells is the associate vice president of student and university affairs at University of Western States. She executes all communications from the office of the president, facilitates policy development and university planning, and leads departmental Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs) in conjunction with strategic planning. Elena earned her BA in writing from Warren Wilson College and has worked extensively in higher education throughout her career.
How do you engage with the UWS mission on a daily basis?
I am proud to work at an institution that is both committed to providing excellent educational programs and actively engaged in championing the value of integrated health care. One of my most important roles here at UWS is to connect people to the resources and information they seek, and I know that this work helps to streamline the delivery of both education and health care.
