Program & Concentration: Doctor of Chiropractic

Hi! My name is Karm. I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph. There I received my Bachelor of Science in human kinetics and minored in nutrition and nutraceutical sciences. My interests in the human musculoskeletal system began in my senior year of high school and continued to grow into a passion for rehabilitation and health care as I continued to learn about neurophysiology and biomechanics. Growing up playing sports and being athletic had always drawn my interest towards chiropractic and physiotherapy. It wasn’t until my first two years of undergrad that I began gaining more exposure within chiropractic clinics and was certain that this was going to be my future profession.

Why I chose UWS: I chose to begin my chiropractic career at UWS because of the school’s integrative and evidence-based approach. As a Canadian student, I felt a sense of belonging and community knowing there are many other Canadian students that attend this program. Being someone who enjoys the outdoors, it was easy making the move to Oregon as I looked forward to countless adventures and beautiful hikes in the PNW.
