Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration/CFO

Glenn Ford joined the University of Western States as the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration in May 2019, bringing over 30 years of experience in higher education leadership. As Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration, he serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees all financial and long-range budgeting and planning activities as well as oversight of numerous administrative functions of the university.

Ford previously served as the Vice President for Finance and Administration/CFO at Bastyr University. Prior to his service at Bastyr, he served as Vice President for Finance and Administration/CFO at Oregon State University, Vice President for Finance and Administration/CFO and Treasurer for Linfield College, and Vice President for Business and Finance/CFO at Utah State University. Ford’s thirty-three year career in higher education leadership and administration also includes service at Washington State University and the University of Idaho.

Ford has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Products (Business Management Option) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Idaho.

How do you engage with the UWS mission on a daily basis?
We have all been entrusted with a tremendous gift and a great responsibility as stewards of UWS’s finite financial resources. Each day members of the Division of Finance and Administration team and I work hard to support the core mission of UWS – our outstanding students in their learning environment, our dedicated faculty in their teaching environment, and our patients in our clinical settings. Working collaboratively to develop and support a long-range sustainable business model ensures that UWS will have a margin to support our mission and thrive for the next 115 years!
