We believe people are complex, shaped by many factors. We believe these same factors–physical, mental, spiritual, socio-economic, genetic, environmental, and cultural–converge to impact a person’s health and wellness.
To provide truly comprehensive patient care, we believe practitioners must recognize and honor these complexities to develop care plans that place their patient’s well-being and self-determined goals at the center.

120 Years of Patient-Centered Progress
The history of UWS and origins of chiropractic are directly entwined. Founded in 1904 and home to the second oldest chiropractic education program in the world, UWS has more than a century’s worth of experience in advancing, innovating, and championing an integrated, evidence-based, patient-centered philosophy of health care.
Faculty
Our faculty bring years of professional experience and knowledge to every UWS classroom. They have dedicated their careers to promoting patient-centered care and take pride in preparing the next generation of whole-person health care professionals.
