Dr. Matthew J. Moore is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and serves as an Assistant Professor of Sport and Exercise Psychology in the Department of Health and Kinesiology at the University of Utah.
Matt brings extensive experience working with students, athletes, and military personnel to help them achieve their goals. His professional background spans personal training, NCAA Division I strength and conditioning, and mental performance coaching across competitive levels. A proud Utah native, Matt also considers himself an avid outdoor enthusiast.
As a professor, Matt is deeply guided by a relationship-centered teaching philosophy. He finds his greatest professional fulfillment in mentoring students and supporting them throughout their academic and personal development. His mission is to holistically empower others to cultivate self-awareness, acceptance, commitment, and psychological flexibility-skills essential to thriving in both sport and life.
