Jana Peters, MS, LDN, CNS, is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Nutrition Specialist® with a master's degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States, where she now serves as a course facilitator supporting students in their educational journey. With a strong foundation in biology and chemistry from Northern Illinois University and a background as a paramedic and international trauma course instructor, Jana brings a unique clinical perspective to her teaching.
She is the founder of One Healthy Balance Functional Health, a fully virtual practice where she specializes in helping women restore energy, stabilize mood, and reclaim hormonal balance through personalized, root-cause care. Jana's clinical interests include autoimmune disease, cardiovascular health, mental well-being, and women's health-especially during the perimenopausal and menopausal transition. Her passion for functional medicine was sparked by a family health crisis that revealed the profound impact of nutrition on healing. She is dedicated to empowering others to take control of their health through science-backed, compassionate care
