Ginny King is an advanced practice clinical dietitian, educator, and fitness instructor. A seventh-grade home economics class inspired her to become a nutrition professional. Since becoming a registered dietitian, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including community and tertiary hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and long-term acute care. She has worked with patients and clients from pre-conception all the way up to 105-year-olds. Her clinical practice areas include in-patient mental health (pediatrics, adult and geriatrics), telemetry, intensive / critical care (general and specialty, including pandemic care), medical / surgical, orthopedics, cardiac rehab, wound center, fitness centers, outpatient and private practice.

Ginny serves as the Chair and Treasurer for the Northeast Massachusetts Dietetic Association, whose mission is to provide unique learning and networking opportunities to dietitians and nutrition professionals on Boston's North Shore. She is also an elected official on her local Board of Health and is often heard encouraging nutrition professionals to get involved in their communities. Prior to becoming an instructor at UWS, Ginny taught a variety of courses in nutrition and dietetics at the University of New Hampshire and North Shore Community College. In addition, she has owned and operated a specialty meat market and prepared food store; has taught a variety of land-based group exercise classes; is a Pilates and CrossFit enthusiast; and has run three marathons - including the original course from Marathon to Athens, Greece. Beyond food and fitness, Ginny enjoys spending time with her family in the greater New England area.
