Master’s or Doctoral Degrees

Students may choose between a Master of Science degree or a Doctor of Education degree in sport and performance psychology. An applied sport psychology graduate certificate is also available. Each option is presented in an online learning format with flexible pacing so students can learn when it’s convenient for them.

Which Program is For Me?

The Master of Science degree offers two concentrations, applied practice and positive coaching. The Doctor of Education degree offers two concentrations, mental performance consulting and positive leadership and administration. The graduate certificate program is designed to help students complete courses to meet AASP’s Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC®) coursework requirements.

Additionally, for those interested in counseling, UWS offers both a Master of Science and an integrated Doctor of Education in SPP with a clinical mental health counseling specialization.

No matter which track students choose to pursue, they are equipped with essential first-hand experience needed for them to serve as leaders in sport, the performing arts, coaching, exercise, mental health counseling and wellness disciplines.
