Hello, I am Zachary Lang, and I am from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. My passion for health care started when I worked as a paramedic in Saskatchewan for 6 years. Following this experience, I began my education at the University of Regina where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with a major in Human Kinetics. I then worked alongside chiropractors in a multidisciplinary setting as a Kinesiologist for 2 years. This is where I learned about the importance of chiropractors in the rehabilitation world and became motivated to begin the process of becoming a chiropractor. As an ex- national level gymnast and current triathlete, I have experienced my fair share of injuries in which I have sought out chiropractic care. Through all my personal experiences in health care I have developed a holistic perspective and have come to an understanding the importance of professionalism, communication, and most up to date evidence. These are all characteristics which guided me to my decision to attend University of Western States. As I am now entering quarter 8 of the program my expectations of the program have been exceeded. The school offers incredible options for inclusivity, the instructors are passionate and knowledgeable about the profession, and the student environment is very welcoming.
