Rayna Dorsey, LMT, LMP, has been teaching massage and bodywork since 1993, which included 13 years of curriculum courses and clinic supervision at East-West College as well as her own continuing education courses throughout the United States. Rayna Dorsey joined the faculty of the University Of Western States in January of 2010 as Clinic Supervisor of massage interns. Her mission as a teacher is to inspire, educate students and practitioners of massage/bodywork to be knowledgeable, skilled, ethical, critically thinking massage therapist.
Rayna has been practicing bodywork and shamanic healing since 1984, focusing on clients with Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, injuries and trauma survivors. She has been a licensed massage therapist in the state of Oregon since 1990 and in the state of Washington since 1994. Her training included a 1000-hour program specializing in the body/mind connection at East-West College. As a member of AMTA since 1990, Rayna has served her profession by volunteering at both the state and national levels in various positions. Rayna was a member for 5 years of the Oregon Sports Massage Team.
Her therapeutic bodywork skills include, myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point, craniosacral and Swedish massage. She approaches her practice and her teaching by blending intuitive skills, humor with academic knowledge.
