Oscar (he/him/his) is the alumni relations and professional development coordinator at University of Western States. He is originally from San Diego, California, and obtained his BA in psychology at UC Santa Cruz. He comes with experience in digital media and university relations, having served as an alumni engagement intern and digital media coordinator at UC Santa Cruz. Prior to his role at UWS, he worked as a community building coordinator with Community HousingWorks providing resources such as career development workshops, afterschool programming for K-12 student, and leadership programs to empower onsite residents. Outside of work, Oscar enjoys being in nature, exploring new places, writing poetry and listening to music. He was published in a literary anthology and literary magazine for his work in poetry at his alma mater while he was a student.
