Why did you choose UWS? Why did you choose your program/concentration?
I needed something completely online and while researching programs, I happened to stumble upon UWS. Of the available programs, UWS seemed to be the best fit. I chose exercise and sports science, because I wanted something that would be closely related to my career.
What stands out about the UWS ESS program?
The program allows a lot of freedom to learn. There was very little – “read this and report on it,” rather, you were allowed the freedom to choose what to report on within a particular subject.
How will you implement the knowledge from the ESS program in your career?
I use a ton of it for my wellness program. Each week I email out a health tip of the week often times it is something I learned from one of my UWS courses.
What has been your favorite class/instructor?
My favorite instructor would have to be Dr. Tiffany Reiss and all of her health classes were my favorite. These were the classes I wasn’t originally looking forward to however, they ended up being the ones I learned the most from and found the most interesting.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
Continue to grow as a strength coach as well as grow my own business.
Favorite way to get some stress out from school?
Lift heavy things. I always feel better after a good training session.
