Most of us have a self-critical inner voice that’s never quiet for long. Here is a practice from psychologist and mindfulness coach Elisha Goldstein that can help.
When self-critical thoughts arise, you can practice nipping them in the bud in order to prevent them from expanding and taking hold. Practice saying, “There’s that voice again. This is a difficult moment. In life, there are moments like this. Can I be kind to myself right now?”
Allow yourself to acknowledge what is difficult. Allow yourself to ask for help. Allow yourself to receive kindness. Allow yourself to trust in and believe in the best version of yourself. Do what you can to make yourself proud and respond with dignity.
With a little daily mindfulness, we make our world a better place. #MindfulnessMinute #UWSLife ... See MoreSee Less
