Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Sport and Performance Psychology Programs Virtual Open House

May 10 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

University of Western States invites you to attend an open house for our clinical mental health counseling and sport and
performance psychology programs on Tuesday, May 10 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

The University of Western States clinical mental health counseling (CMHC) graduate programs emphasize a systems approach in which students consider the influence of families, groups, teams and organizations on individual mental health and performance. The curriculums also incorporate sport and performance psychology (SPP) content, as well as opportunities for applied sport and performance consulting practice.

The counseling coursework offered at UWS is an essential aspect of the training in sport and performance psychology and toward becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC).

The sport and performance psychology programs train students in motivation, performance enhancement, and the ability to maximize human potential. The SPP programs offered include Master of Science (MS), Doctorate of Education (EdD), and a graduate certificate. These options allow students to meet their specific career goals and educational needs.

This open house will include information on:

• Integration of sport, performance psychology and counseling in UWS graduate degree programs
• Concentrations and specializations within the programs and choosing the best path for you
• Licensure and certification pathways: Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC®) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Admissions information
