The devastating wildfires in West Maui this August has affected everyone on the island. According the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) 40% of all jobs on Maui depend on visitor spending. Hawaii Governor Josh Green and the HTA are encouraging visitors to return to Maui to support local businesses with compassionate and respectful travel.
Our partners at the Wailea Beach Hotel have always showed us incredible aloha over the years. The “aloha spirit” is the coordination of mind and heart within each person to the self. It is thinking and emoting of good feelings to others in contemplation of the life force. This is an opportunity to give the aloha spirit back to those who have offered it so graciously to us.
Help be a part of the Maui recovery and join us in a humble celebration of healing by visiting Maui for Summer in December. View this video from the Wailea Beach Hotel.

Courses
Correlated Chiropractic Case Studies (Lumbar Spine, Pelvis and Hip)
Friday and Saturday Seminar (plus 6 hours of online prime) with Dr. Bill Moreau, Dr. Harger and Lori Holt, RN
This interactive seminar utilizes a grand rounds format providing interactive sessions in management of chiropractic patients. This seminar encourages active participation of learners through the utilization of hands-on workshops where examination and treatment techniques are demonstrated. Small group interactions are used for higher level thinking centered on the assimilation of case presentations to develop diagnoses and care management protocols. Clinical cases will be used as a basis to explore when and what diagnostic imaging studies yield the most appropriate outcomes. The integration of applicable gross anatomy studies will provide learners with the appropriate anatomical relationship to the presented pathology. Knowledge of and the importance of the clinician’s role in clinical imaging decision making with review of the targeted search patterns approach will be discussed.
Advanced Functional Nutritional Concepts for the Practicing Chiropractor to Master Managing Inflammatory, Vascular Health and Concussion Disorders
Sunday Seminar with Dr. Simon Agger
A clinician ‘re-primer’ on the neuroimmunology on inflammation, nociception, autonomic concomitants and vascular health – which opens clinicians eyes into just ‘where’ and ‘how’ they can support their patients in assisting to resolve common orthopedic, neurological and vascular maladies that we all see daily in ourchiropractic practices using nutrition, herbs and dietary interventions. Dr. Agger will teach: common workups with appropriate laboratory markers, testing and clinical assessments: from disc injuries to chronic pain; joint pains, concussions, and chronic pain syndromes. The importance of fat metabolism in attenuating and resolving inflammation is reviewed with clinical pearls for management. The evaluation, testing and nutritional interventions for vascular disorders such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, along with dysautonomia, are discussed. This 4-hour course is an appropriate companion for the practicing chiropractic clinician and complements the radiological, diagnostic, clinical chiropractic and orthopedic cases discussed on the preceding two days by Dr’s Harger, Moreau, Borman and Lori Holt, RN.
Dr. Agger uses peer reviewed literature, his current 25 years of practice as a chiropractor and clinical nutritionist in Portland, Oregon, adjunct faculty member at UWS (chiropractic/human nutrition and functional medicine), Portland, Oregon, and RVU (osteopathic program), Colorado and Utah campuses, 8 years of educating licensed health care practitioners around the U.S. to implement successful clinical functional nutrition/herbal pearls/programs, and assorted other board positions of clinical experience to draw from.
The 4-hour program is fun and interactive with Dr. Agger taking questions and demonstrating case studies.

About Our Legacy Sponsor - NCMIC
Most chiropractic physicians (DC) know us for our malpractice insurance. But we offer much more. Our goal is to help doctors do more by offering insurance and finance products to help protect their reputation and their practice.
Our long history of supporting DCs began in 1946 when a small group of chiropractic physicians couldn’t find an insurance company that would sell them the malpractice insurance they needed. This determined group created a company that would protect them and their fellow chiropractic physicians, specializing in matters specific to DCs.
Since then, our commitment to chiropractors has never wavered. And to help doctors do more, we’ve continued to broaden our products and services to provide solutions to the financial concerns that may arise at their practices including: equipment financing, business credit card, credit card processing, premium financing, business and personal insurance.
Each day we live by our promise: We Take Care of Our Own.
