Over the past 30 years, Mark Kaminski has been broad participant in the education of chiropractic physicians at UWS. He teaches genetics, cell biology and is the instructor for cardiovascular, respiratory and renal physiology; and he also assists in histology laboratories. For many years he was the primary instructor of histology. Professor Kaminski has made major contributions to chiropractic education. For 12 years he served as a National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) test construction member in physiology, and he chaired that section for 8 of those years. Mark co-authored several important publications on chiropractic standards - he is "the Kaminski" of what some have called the Kaminski Model for evaluation of chiropractic methods (JMPT 1987). Mark has co-authored a study on delayed onset muscle soreness and vitamin C published in the journal Pain, a paper cited in Travell's book “Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual” and the first paper so published in that prestigious journal from the chiropractic community. Finally, Mark has been an active member of the UWS campus community. He has served as Faculty Senate President, Faculty Association President for a number of years and chair of a campus-wide committee that established the College of Chiropractic’s previous mission statement. Mark's outside interests are eclectic and range from most areas of biology to music to computers to literature. He has a personal webpage at http://home.comcast.net/~mark_kaminski/
