 West Burnside Chiropractic Clinic

West Burnside Chiropractic Clinic The UWS West Burnside Chiropractic Clinic (WBCC) is a community outreach clinic serving uninsured and underinsured patients in downtown Portland.  This clinic has been providing care to the local community since 1987. Approximately 4500 no-cost or low-cost treatments are provided at the clinic each year.

The clinic focuses on helping people with acute disabling problems who are unable to work or continue their normal activities due to musculoskeletal pain. Under the supervision of Chiropractic Physicians Dr. Owen Lynch and Dr. Laurel Yancey, advanced students in the UWS Doctor of Chiropractic Program participate in the provision of evidence-based chiropractic care to patients.  Patient care is problem-focused with emphasis on self-care through exercise and lifestyle modification.

The West Burnside Chiropractic Clinic is a member of the Coalition of Community Health Clinics, a group of twelve non-profit clinics that serve the uninsured and underinsured in Multnomah County. Coalition Clinics provide over 100,000 health care visits to Multnomah County residents each year.

In addition to providing care at the WBCC, UWS provides on-site treatments at three residential alcohol and drug (A&D) treatment centers. The Collins Foundation awarded a grant to the WBCC to fund this project.

We see patients by appointment and we take walk-in patients. People with acute episodes of disabling pain will usually be seen within 1-2 days.  People with chronic or non-disabling problems are usually scheduled within 7 days.

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM - 6:30 PM
