Admissions

The University of Western States (UWS) offers evidence-informed curricula, integrated programs, and world-class research opportunities placing us at the forefront of health sciences education and ensuring that your course of study at UWS will position you as a leader in your profession.

Through experience in the classroom, clinics, and laboratory, as well as through public outreach opportunities, UWS’ students graduate with a competitive edge. The time spent here will be stimulating and framed by a solid network of support that ensures you will meet the academic and professional challenges you face while achieving a work-life balance.

Small class sizes and low student-to-faculty ratios create an environment that is encouraging and supportive. Our philosophy has always been to provide a hands-on education to prepare our students for hands-on careers. What you can expect from UWS is simple: a superior education, a supportive environment, and a well-rounded knowledge base that will put you on the right track toward a fulfilling career.

Students Studying Outside Don't take our word for it. Step onto our campus and see for yourself why UWS is the leader in integrated health care education. Then decide if you want to be another one of our success stories. Visitors to UWS aren't only greeted by mountain views. We'll provide you with an opportunity to speak to faculty, staff, and current students as part of your visit to our quiet, 22-acre campus located in northeast Portland

Our volunteer student mentors are happy to tour you around campus, giving you the information from a student's perspective on life at UWS.

Campus is open for visiting Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-4:30PM.  Feel free to bring a friend or family member with you.

Schedule your personal tour.
