University Administration
The University is governed by a Board of Trustees, which establishes university policy, and has the ultimate authority and responsibility for fulfillment of the university’s mission and for the financial health of the institution. The Board of Trustees approves the mission, vision and strategic plans for the University.

The Board of Trustees appoints the University President and vests in that person the responsibility for university management and operations. UWS has a core of executive administrators responsible for all facets of university operation. The President and the Vice Presidents comprise the President’s Cabinet.

Vice President of Finance and Administration: Eric Blumenthal, MBA Areas of responsibility: Business Affairs, Payroll, Human Resources, Facilities, Operations, Auxiliary Services, and Institutional Compliance.
Vice President of Enrollment and Student Services: Patrick Browne, EdD Areas of responsibility: Admissions, enrollment management, student services, financial aid, and career services.
Vice President of Clinics: Joseph Pfeifer, DC Areas of responsibility: UWS clinic system, clinical education, preceptorships and community-based internships.
Vice President of Academic Affairs: Gary Schultz, DC, DACBRAreas of responsibility: Doctor of Chiropractic program, College of Graduate Studies (Residencies and Fellowships, Master’s Degrees), College of Undergraduate and Continuing Education (Massage Therapy program, Postgraduate Education, Distance Education, Baccalaureate Degree, Program Development), Clinic Quality Improvement, Registrar’s office, Evaluation of Student Learning, and Faculty Development.
